Specifically designed for unused bomb, shell and missile mitigation, and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) as well.
A large range of blast containment vessels is available and some of them are designed to withstand up to 100 kg TNT eq. The EOD within the chamber can be performed by detonation or burning. These chambers can be fully automated and are therefore also compatible with efficient routine testing on the production lines of pyrotechnical devices.
Fatigue of the structure is the main issue that shapes the design of these EOD chambers. Our experienced team of experts in detonics and associated mechanics normally carries out a complete study of the mitigation process to ensure the most effective destruction combined with the highest level of safety.
After some modifications, these chambers may be used as production chambers with explosives as driving source. They can be used for instance to produce cladded parts and nanodiamonds in large quantities as well.
